Advance voting by mail begins 20 days prior to every election.
General Election beginning March 18- April 3 (5:00 p.m. mail cutoff)

• To vote by mail, print and complete the Application for an Advance Voting Ballot by Mail and fax to (913) 791-8931 or (913) 791-8932 or
  (913) 791-8933, or mail to Johnson County Election Office, 2101 E. Kansas City Road, Olathe, KS 66061.
• A separate application must be submitted for each election unless the voter qualifies for permanently sick/disabled status.
• Applications are also available at the Election Office and city halls. Completed applications must be received at the Election Office by 5:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the election.
• Applications may be copied. Each voter must sign an application in order to receive a ballot. More than one application may be mailed in the same envelope. Applications are accepted any time during the year in which the election is held, but ballots are not mailed until the 20th day prior to the election.
• Your voted ballot may be returned by mail or hand-delivered to the Election Office. After business hours, a drop box is available at the front entrance. Ballots may not be faxed. To be counted, the ballot must be received at the Election Office before 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
• Advance voting ballots should not be turned in at the polling place. These ballots cannot be counted.
• Only permanently sick or disabled voters may apply for permanent advance voting status. Voters may apply for permanent advance voting status by completing the appropriate question on the Application for an Advance Voting Ballot
